Amphetamine use, when done for fun, often leads to abuse and addiction because of the euphoric effect that it has on its users. Although seemingly harmless at the onset, crystal meth addiction has adverse effects on the body, rather extreme adverse effects. Initially, crystal meth users experience high energy and a kind of self confidence that they have never experienced before. And then a feeling of euphoria sweeps them and that is what makes people become addicted to meth.
And as the abuse continues on, the effects become pronounced and the users now begin to feel the negative consequences of crystal meth addiction which includes paranoia and hypersensitivity. Crystal meth refers to the form of the substance that can be smoked.
What makes crystal meth very dangerous is because it is manufactured by amateur chemists in illegally operated laboratories with items and ingredients that are readily available everywhere. And lately, crystal meth abuse and addiction has increased tremendously and because it eventually causes people to become abnormally violent, it is a serious national issue that has to be addressed now.
The reason why people get addicted to crystal meth is because it is cheaper than cocaine but it brings the same effect, however, the effects are more pronounced and they last longer than the cocaine effects. When crystal meth is smoked or snorted, the brain becomes swamped and inundated with dopamine and this chemical dramatically increases the brain’s alertness and a sudden feeling of euphoria. The body’s heart rate dramatically increases as well as the blood pressure and when the body undergoes this kind of state consistently, there will be huge damage on the cardiovascular system and the brain.
